NIKON D3500 | New addition to beginners line

NIKON D3500

Nikon has launched its new Camera in DSLRs in the category of Beginner's / entry level camera in end of August 2018 and start of September 2018. This Nikon D3500 is upgraded version, lighter in weight, and slightly smaller in size as of its predecessor D3400. Key features of D3500 are listed hereunder:
  • 24.2 mega pixel with EXPEED 4 image-processing sensor (Nikon called it engine)
  • Sensor size (23.5 x 15.6 mm APS-C)
  • 11 auto focus points
  • DX-format with Nikon F Lens mount
  • ISO 100 - 25600
  • Full HD Video recording at 1080p with 60/50/30/25/24fps
  • Continuous shooting: 5fps
  • 95% Viewfinder coverage and almost 100% coverage on main LCD
  • 3 inch TFT LCD with 921K dots
  • Compatible with Snap Bridge function (blue tooth connectivity) that allows user to shoot and share their favorite images on social media.
  • Guide mode for beginner is also incorporated by the Nikon

Here I want to mentioned that this model has longer battery backup as compared to its predecessor (D3400) as it takes approx 1500 shots(almost 300+ shots more) in a single charge. Furthermore, it is 30g lighter in weight, with deeper hand grip and function buttons have more space to make this model handy to use.

Conclusion

Good low light performance, large battery size, lighter in weight with deeper grip, latest EXSPEED 4 image processor/sensor/engine with 11 auto focus points, this camera is good for casual and beginner photographers looking for easy to use and handy camera that will allow them to learn DSLR's  functions.

Price of this device starts from $400 and varies depending upon the lens you want to take along with it. If you are into portraits i recommend to get a prime lens 50mm f/1.8g along with your KIT lens.
